Positive Energy is primarily focused on installing LED Lighting Systems. However, we commonly have both architects and engineers that request speciality lighting that require incandescent lamp technology. Bottom line: Any light source from the original Thomas Edison incandescent bulb to the latest LED technology we can do it all.
Our services include both new construction projects and retrofit of existing building Lighting Systems. We specialize in advanced lighting controls that offer a variety of information. Most of the new systems are primarily dimming type LED systems that adjust to daytime light levels and requirements within the workspace. These systems offer advanced visual comfort due to the adjustable lighting levels required by our clients.
Occupancy sensing has now evolved into data-collection for our clients. These sensors now can report back to the energy manager information such as: Room temperature, occupancy, and availability of unused areas such as conference rooms. These systems provide a tool to the facilities management team on how to allocate their available space in a more efficient way.
The California Energy Commission has implemented new requirements to maximize watts per square foot depending on the space in use. Our company is a California Advanced Lighting Controls Training Program (CALCTP) certified contractor. We also employ certified Acceptance Technicians (CALCTP-AT) to test and approve completed projects. Our services include: initial design assistance, engineered drawings, installation, and acceptance testing at the end of the project. We can discuss the proposed scope of work and the customer can then select how much of our services they will require.
Our team has provided service on many multi-housing and commercial facilities. Typically at these facilities the National Electrical Code (NEC), the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Fire Inspector checklist work hand-in-hand. Both Exit Signs and the Emergency Egress Lighting Path are tested on an annual basis. We can provide a service that will prepare you to score high marks with the HUD inspection team and your local Fire Inspector.
